Prepare for friendly faces, human and canine

We are a smiley bunch, and will always greet you with positivity and professionalism. As well as our regular office staff, Kim and Mya, also have two wonderful dogs, Gracie and Waldo. These pooches used to be at the office a few days a week, but have opted to stay home in the wake of Kim and Brian’s new grandpuppy, Merlin. He is just about five months old and is cute as a button. All three of our furry friends love to visit, but stay behind a gate, or in the break room until we are sure that you are comfortable.

We are a family friendly business

We have always put family first, so if you happen to bring yours along, that is no trouble at all. We try to keep colouring pages stocked with the most popular characters, along with markers and pencil crayons. We also keep dry-erase markers so that if little ones want to draw on our windows, they can be cleaned up easily. We only play clean music, and that music is often Disney music. Don’t feel like you can’t make the time because of your family, involve them instead.

You will have lots of options

When you walk in, you may be a bit overwhelmed by all of the displays in our showroom, but it is important to stay focused on what you came in for. If you come in for a hard surface floor, don’t browse the carpet, it will only confuse you. We will help to eliminate options as efficiently as possible by putting away any samples that are no longer options and taking you out of the mess into a more open area of the showroom.

We throw samples on the floor

We believe that the best way to view samples is on the floor, where they will be installed. This means that when you see something that catches your eye, we are going to drop that sample board right onto the floor. Colours change when they are up close to your face, and a pattern that you didn’t love up close, might seem tamer when it’s farther away.

We will use paint swatches to match the colours in your home

This is something that we are Kim has two Benjamin Moore paint decks, and one Dulux paint deck, and loves any opportunity to pull them out and look them over with customers. So whether you are building, renovating, or simply adding floors to a room, we can help you match your floors to your walls.

There are plenty of grout options to choose from

No more settling for less than you deserve, choose a grout colour that matches your tile and your needs. We have lots of colour including glitter grout and glow-in-the-dark grout. Let your imagination run wild.

Prepare to be shown things that you didn’t think of

Having an open mind is crucial. Even if you know exactly what you want, we will most likely suggest other products. Once we learn more about you and your project, we use our flooring experience to give you other ideas that might surprise you. The new idea might be exactly what you need.

We have lots of stories and love to chat

Our faithful leaders, Kim and Brian, have owned the business and run the show for a long time. Before that, Brian’s father started the business and Brian has worked in the industry for most of his life. After all of those years, Kim and Brian have stories and memories that they love to share, especially when they have to do with family. As for me? I come from a large Dutch family, so I like to play Dutch bingo (feel free to google it) if your last name sounds remotely familiar.

We will encourage you to take samples home

We can be a little overbearing about sending you home with samples. We have had customers who were disappointed by the colour of their flooring once it was installed because it looked different in the showroom. We want you to be as happy as possible with your choice and our work. Our showroom has a red ceiling and fluorescent lights, so the sample you choose will most likely look different in your own light and space. Comparing style and colour against furniture, wall colour, and existing flooring, can make or break a certain type of flooring. We will also send you home with more than one sample because your second choice may surprise you, and it’s always good to have options.
