Inspiration from Instagram 06.20

It’s time again to look around the web for rooms that inspire…at least with regards to flooring!! Today’s post of instagram pictures includes many spring and summer scenes with comfortable colours, varying textures, and above all (or below), very different floors. Let’s take a look:

This makes me want to go to the East Coast again! The tourquoise ceiling in the photo above stands out against the vinyl tile floor. AND, of course it matches the blue ocean outside! Check out Alterna Tile: Agate Grey for a similar look.

In this antiqued photo you can see how the vinyl tile has the shade and look of a vintage farmhouse. While real wood can warp and chip, why not invest in a vinyl or even ceramic that looks like wood? A wood look within a tiled floor.

In a future post we will be talking about transitioning from one floor to the next – whether to use metal, vinyl or wood – but today we will admire the continuing wood floor from the hallway into the bedroom. Open concept is a beautiful thing!

What do you think of the checkerboard black and white? Usually found in a commercial setting, vinyl tile can be laid in such a pattern OR, ironically, we have some in sheet vinyl just like this in stock!

Okay, I couldn’t let this post go buy without showing you this bathroom mosaic floor!! What would you have spelled out in your bathroom? [If it was my child’s bathroom it might say FLUSH…]

And finally below, is a comfortable carpet with the perfect shade to show off the oversized wooden bed. I just want to climb in. Check out the link to make your own bed; check out our store to buy the carpet!

Be sure to check out each of these instagram posts at the source, and be inspired by other photos like them. And of course, take a look at our main website to search for the perfect flooring choice for you!

Happy planning! And Happy Father’s Day to all of you dads!!
