White subway tile has been around for years, and there’s a reason for that. It’s beautiful! White subway tile goes with many different styles and aesthetics. You could go for a retro style, like subway tile is traditionally associated with, or you could go with an understated and minimalist style like these homeowners did.

These homeowners chose to pair the white subway tiles with a black grout to match their black and white kitchen. The black grout is a great accent to the white tiles, but the black grout can also be a little bit tricky to work with. It can stain the tiles, cupboards and countertops if you’re not careful. Luckily we were able to keep everything clean. We were able to finish this job in just under two days! Wow!

This backsplash was set in a classic brick pattern and i think that it looks fantastic.This pattern allowed us to move quickly because we didnt have to worry about lining up the lines perfectly both vertically and horinzontally. The ceiling was close to ten feet, so it was a challenge to get the tile all the way to the top, but we had fun testing out different methods.

This was a wonderful home to work in, and Even though the black grout isnt our favourite to work with, the kitchen looks amazing!
