To start off with, hardwood is already a classic flooring choice!! Well-maintained hardwood will catch anyone’s eye. For a timeless look, I would opt for mid-range tones that are not too light or dark. Some classic wood colors are found in oak, maple, mahogany, pine, and ash. 

Tile

Tile is a great choice for your home when you are looking for something that is durable, water-resistant, or waterproof! Because tile is a durable type of flooring, when choosing a timeless style, it will last for a very long time if properly maintained. Classic styles consist of neutral colours and soft patterns. 

Vinyl

Vinyl is a great affordable route when choosing a timeless or trendy floor. Vinyl flooring is a lot newer compared to tile and hardwood as it was introduced around the mid-1900s. Today vinyl is made to be very durable and long-lasting. Because vinyl comes in a wide range of styles, choosing a style can be overwhelming! If you are looking for that timeless look, look for vinyl that mimics natural wood or stone.

Carpet

Carpet is a great flooring choice when you are looking for a cozy feel. Neutral colours are always a common choice when picking out carpets. Carpet gives a great foundation for layering trendy rugs and other decorations.
